Call for applications for 10,000 Small Businesses: The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at Miami Dade College program is looking for applicants for its January 2022 cohort. The free 12-week program is designed to help business owners, and the program includes a Babson-designed entrepreneurship curriculum and a wealth of one-on-one advice, clinics, and networking opportunities. Applications due by Oct. 15. Small business grant opportunity: Beginning on October 1, and through October 14, eligible businesses in Miami and Broward Counties can apply for a $10,000 grant at www.ComcastRISE.com. A total of 100 grants will be awarded in November 2021. The Investment Fund is an extension of Comcast RISE, the multi-year, multi-faceted initiative launched in October 2020 to support small businesses owned by people of color and provide the resources and tools they need today and in the future.

Miami Bayside Foundation 5-week training course: The Miami Bayside Foundationis offering a free 5-week training course. The 14 session workshop for small business owners looking to improve their skills and learn about ways to access capital. It is for businesses in operation for a minimum of six months, at least 51% minority-owned, and located in Miami-Dade County. Find out more and apply here. The application deadline is Sept. 28.
